I am Ms. Sherry Rebecca Kennedy and I am very excited about being the librarian at Franklinton Junior High School!  Go Falcons!

This is my eighth year  at the junior high and my eleventh year in teaching altogether.

I graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University for both my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and also my Master’s Degree in Education with a concentration in Educational Technology. I am also a certified Technology Facilitator and am currently working on my library certification at Northwestern State University.

My name is Kristi Crain and I have been teaching elementary and junior high students for 13 lucky years! I am currently working as a technology facilitator at FJHS. I have a Bachelor's Degree from Southeastern Louisiana University in Elementary Education. I really enjoy seeing my former elementary students who have grown into teenagers!

I am married to my wonderful husband, Rob, and we have three delightful boys. Wesley is five years old and attends FPS. Andrew is three years old and enjoys playschool. Jacob is 5 months old and is happily spending the day with his Nana. Rob and I have been members of First Baptist Church since childhood. There, I enjoy teaching VBS each summer to 3rd and 4th grade students. My hobbies are going to FHS and LSU football games and spending time on the Bogue Chitto River. Rob and I also enjoy watching NASCAR races and used to attend them before we had 3 kids! I am thrilled to join this faculty and help maintain the incredible amount of technology available to students at FJHS!  Go Falcons!

A Word From the Technology Facilitator:

Franklinton Junior High School is a leader in Washington Parish in the use of instructional technology.  Five computer labs, numerous classroom computers, laptops and projectors in every classroom, Elmo visual presenters in many classrooms, and interactive white boards in others, all combine to make FJHS the best in the parish in the use of technology and one of the best in the state. We work hard to make sure that all students and teachers have access to technology that enhances teaching and learning. In light of the access to such diverse technology, it is crucial that all students return the technology acceptable use policy that was given out at the beginning of the year. No student will be allowed to use any of the educational technology housed at FJHs unless this is on file at school. You may contact the technology resource teacher if you need another copy of the form.
